You will see the following demonstrated live as well as discussed in detail in the classroom:
• Presenting to Real Estate Agents:
- a 10 minute office meeting format
- a 45-60 minute special event meeting (with props)
• Decorating Programs for Community Colleges, Libraries, Furniture or Consignment Stores, Women’s Luncheons, Community Events:
- a 60-75 minute decorating program
- a 3 part decorating series (60-75 minute each segment)
For each presentation you will learn how to:
- contact the right person and how to pitch your idea
- create content and choose the best title
- submit a proposal to speak
- maximize the power of ‘the pause’
- determine the best visual displays to use
- create handouts, goody bags and evaluation forms
- prepare the room by using the set-up ‘punch’ list
- project a positive image; feel and act confident!
- incorporate demonstrations and interactive ‘how-to’ segments
- solicit and arrange sponsorships
- lead effective Q&A sessions with the audience
- determine when and what to charge
